Track 1 - Odetta "Hit Or Miss"

DD: Some warm & sunny soul to start things off.

Track 2 - The Stranglers "Peaches"

SH: As well as being a beautiful deep soul track, this is of course the Southern Comfort music, I see a corpulent man in speedos walking along a warm beach. Which puts me in mind of the film Sexy Beast. And this track.

Track 3 - ? & The Mysterians "96 Tears"

DD: Next up I’m going with this garage rock classic that was covered by The Stranglers.

Track 4 - Happy Mondays "Stayin' Alive - 12" Mix"

SH: Next up I’m going Madchester. The Stranglers covered that. The Happy Mondays this. Arguably just as good.

Track 5 - Neneh Cherry "Buffalo Stance"

DD: Shaun Ryder sang on the Gorillaz album Demon Days, as did Neneh Cherry, so that's a good chance to enjoy a bit of Buffalo Stance.

Track 6 - Japan "Television"

SH: Neneh Cherry, famous LP Raw Like Sushi, sushi is a food from Japan. I bring you Japan, Television.

Track 7 - Takako Minekawa, Dustin Wong "Party On A Floating Cake"

DD: Next up, the wonderfully titled "Party On A Floating Cake" by Takako Minekawa (with Dustin Wong) who was a child was a Television star in Japan!

Track 8 - Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds "Into My Arms"

SH: Kylie Minogue was also a child star who famously duetted with nick cave, but it’s nicks track I pick.

Track 9 - Wet Leg "Too Late Now"

DD: Ah such a wonderful song, a friend had this for the first dance at their wedding and it was lovely. I’m going for limbs as my last link, with band of the moment Wet Leg.

Track 10 - David Bowie "Five Years"

SH: Wet Leg may be the band of the moment, but Bowie will always be man of the moment (really tenuous and had to get Bowie in).

Big thanks to Sue for some great links and excellent track selections!
