Our Creative Director Dan picks a random track, our guest adds a track that they think of in response and explains the link, then they go back and forth for 10 tracks.

Track 1 - Georgie Fame "Music Talk"

DD: Kicking off with a Georgie Fame banger.

Track 2 - Bobbie Gentry "Ode To Billie Joe"

CP: Oddly the Georgie Fame track reminded me of this. Not sure why. It certainly isn't to do with the genre, the mood or the lyrics! Just the tune seemed somehow similar.

Track 3 - Julie London "Yummy, Yummy, Yummy"

CP: I've not heard that version - much prefer it to the original! The sultry delivery and the backing rhythm put me in mind of this classic.

Track 4 - Serge Gainsbourg, Jane Birkin "Je T'aime Moi Non Plus"

CP: I've not heard that version - much prefer it to the original! The sultry delivery and the backing rhythm put me in mind of this classic.

Track 5 - Herbie Hancock "Bring Down The Bird - Outtake"

DD: Here's a nice tenuous link, Jane Birkin was in the film Blow-Up so my next pick is “Bring Down The Birds” from the Herbie Hancock soundtrack...

Track 6 - Jimi Hendrix "The Wind Cries Mary"

CP: Inspired by the current storms, I will make the very tenuous leap from Blow-Up to this.

Track 7 - Mary Clark "Take Me I'm Yours"

DD: Love the topical link! Next up, from one Mary to another.

Track 8 - Squeeze "Take Me I'm Yours"

CP: Same title, different style.

Track 9 - LEENALCHI - "Tiger Is Coming"

DD: Squeeze's biggest hit was "Cool For Cats" so I'm going to use that to link to "Tiger Is Coming" by South Korean alt pop band LEENALCHI.  I love the video featuring Ambiguous Dance Company.

Track 10 - Talking Heads - "Once In A Lifetime"

CP: Your last track reminded me of this - possibly it was just the idiosyncratic dance moves?

Massive thanks to Clive for his time and excellent track choices.
