Our Creative Director Dan picks a random track, our guest adds a track that they think of in response and explains the link, then they go back and forth for 10 tracks.

Track 1 - Hot Chip "Down"

DD: I've kicked things off with some new Hot Chip. Absolutely love the intro on this track.

Track 2 - KC & The Sunshine Band "Boogie Shoes"

NR: That track reminds me of Season 1 of Pose! So, I’ve added a song that makes me feel good!

Track 3 - Melanie "Brand New Key"

DD: Pure feel good, love it. Next up I've gone from boogie shoes to roller skates with Melanie's "Brand New Key". Both tracks also featured on the Boogie Nights soundtrack and by happy coincidence were both track 4 (on vol 2 & 1 respectively)!

Track 4 - The Unthanks "The Scarecrow Knows"

NR: Great great song, love it and love that film too. As the The Wurzels made a version of this song, I’ve gone with this from the new Worzel Gummidge.

Track 5 - Robert Palmer "Sneakin' Sally Through The Alley"

DD: Worzel Gummidge had a thing for Aunt Sally, so up next is Robert Palmer's "Sneakin' Sally Through The Alley" from his debut album of the same name.

Track 6 - Oasis "Don't Look Back In Anger"

NR: I’m sticking to the Sally link and going Brit Pop!

Track 7 - Bobbie Gentry "Mornin' Glory - Demo"

DD: Next I've gone super chilled with Bobbie Gentry and the Morning Glory link.

Track 8 - Singing In The Rain "Good Morning"

NR: Such a lovely, chilled song. I’m taking it up a notch with Good Morning from Singing in the Rain! Keeping the Morning theme.

Track 9 - The Gene Dudley Group "Inspector Norse"

DD: What a cracker! I love a musical. Let's go from Gene Kelly to Gene Dudley and a fine cover of a Todd Terje classic...

Track 10 - David Bowie "Jean Genie"

NR: To round this off then, with David Bowie "Jean Genie"!

Big thanks to Naz for joining us on our 10th Top 10-uous! Great links and super tracks aplenty.
